I just don't understand why some traders or market sellers think it is very good for them to make the price of everything they sell so high that the average person will not be able to cope buying it. Well, to them, they feel this is a normal thing for them to do because they feel the environment in which they are is an environment where a lot of people or students stay, but normally, as an entrepreneur, you shouldn't be concerned about most people's earnings because fingers are not equal, and you can't judge based on some set of people.
What I am trying to say in this aspect is that the market you sell is not supposed to be because you have some people buying markets from you, and you are, and they are capable enough. You should be able to consider the others who are buying something because you do not have enough money to buy a lot of things, but most entrepreneurs feel like if you, as a low-class person, can't afford the expensive things that they sell, they will rather be the higher class and this will make things more expensive to those on the lower class.
What triggered me to write about this was because I went out to buy something yesterday, and while I was coming back, I overheard some conversations from some site developers, which they can also call them bricklayers, but they are not the high-class construction engineers; they are just like apprentices working with their boss. They went to buy something they would eat, but they were very surprised when they got there, and they noticed the way things were sold was quite on the high side, so they had to leave without buying anything.
When I heard this from their conversation, I was smiling because I am used to the system already, and I know what it is to stay in a student environment where you have a lot of fraudsters. This is one of the nightmares that gives students around where I stay the easiest because most of the same as now increased their price even when they did not want it, and you see that things you are supposed to buy for a penny will be sold for a large amount, and you dare not price them because they will never reduce the price for you.
It got to the point where I became very tired and annoyed because of these prices. Imagine you are going out with an amount as low as 5 thousand naira to buy something to eat, and you eventually spend all the money without getting anything tangible to buy. This happened to me in the past week when I had to buy some groceries and I went to the market with some money, which is quite on the high side, but when I went to the market, what I brought back home was nothing to compare with the amount of money I took out.
When I got back home, I did some analysis and tried to confirm the prices of the things I got from another place, which is very different from where I stay, and I noticed there was a big difference in the amount which they were sold. Some had an addition of 600 naira, some a thousand naira and lots more. Imagine taking those additional funds together and joining them to buy something else where it is cheaper, it won't complain, and I will still be able to buy something reasonable. Living in a place where the cost of living is on the high side is very hard to cope with if you are not buoyant enough.
Simplemente no entiendo por qué algunos comerciantes o vendedores de mercado piensan que es muy bueno para ellos hacer que el precio de todo lo que venden sea tan alto que la persona promedio no pueda hacer frente a comprarlo. Bueno, para ellos es algo normal porque consideran que el entorno en el que se encuentran es un entorno en el que hay mucha gente o estudiantes, pero normalmente, como empresario, no deberías preocuparte por los ingresos de la mayoría de la gente porque los dedos no son iguales y no puedes juzgar basándote en un conjunto de personas.
Lo que estoy tratando de decir en este aspecto es que el mercado que usted vende no se supone que es porque usted tiene algunas personas que compran los mercados de usted, y usted es, y son lo suficientemente capaces. Deberías ser capaz de tener en cuenta a los demás que están comprando algo porque tú no tienes suficiente dinero para comprar muchas cosas, pero la mayoría de los empresarios piensan que si tú, como persona de clase baja, no puedes permitirte las cosas caras que ellos venden, ellos preferirán ser de clase alta y esto hará que las cosas sean más caras para los de clase baja.
Lo que me impulsó a escribir sobre esto fue que ayer salí a comprar algo y, mientras volvía, oí por casualidad algunas conversaciones de algunos promotores de obras, que también pueden llamarse albañiles, pero no son ingenieros de la construcción de clase alta; son como aprendices que trabajan con su jefe. Fueron a comprar algo para comer, pero se llevaron una gran sorpresa cuando llegaron allí, y se dieron cuenta de que las cosas se vendían bastante caras, así que tuvieron que marcharse sin comprar nada.
Cuando escuché esto de su conversación, sonreí porque ya estoy acostumbrado al sistema, y sé lo que es estar en un ambiente estudiantil donde hay muchos defraudadores. Esta es una de las pesadillas que más fácil se lo pone a los estudiantes de los alrededores de donde yo me quedo, porque la mayoría de los mismos de ahora suben el precio incluso cuando no lo quieren, y ves que cosas que se supone que debes comprar por un céntimo las venden por una gran cantidad, y no te atreves a ponerles precio porque nunca te bajarán el precio.
Llegó un punto en que me cansé y me molesté mucho por culpa de estos precios. Imagínate que sales con una cantidad tan baja como 5.000 nairas para comprar algo de comer, y al final te gastas todo el dinero sin conseguir nada tangible que comprar. A mí me pasó la semana pasada, cuando tuve que comprar comida y fui al mercado con una cantidad de dinero bastante elevada, pero cuando fui al mercado, lo que me traje a casa no se podía comparar con la cantidad de dinero que había sacado.
Cuando volví a casa, hice algunos análisis y traté de confirmar los precios de las cosas que conseguí en otro lugar, que es muy diferente de donde me quedo, y me di cuenta de que había una gran diferencia en la cantidad que se vendían. Algunos tenían un añadido de 600 nairas, otros de mil nairas y muchos más. Imagínate coger esos fondos adicionales y juntarlos para comprar otra cosa donde sea más barato, no se quejará, y aún podré comprar algo razonable. Vivir en un lugar donde el coste de la vida es elevado es muy difícil de sobrellevar si no se tiene la suficiente vitalidad.
