Have a nice day Everyone! I hope you are all doing great. I am a newbie here and I'm so excited to share my life with all of you, guys! By the way, My name is Anelie Apelo or just call me @annapelo. I'm 37 years old and live in Minglanilla, Cebu, Philippines.
I'm married and have two kids. My husband and I have been in a long-distance relationship since 2018. I am a full-time housewife and teach English online at night. Balancing my roles as a housewife and an ESL teacher can be challenging but I love spending time with my family and helping my students. My kids keep me busy with their activities. My husband and I stay connected and support each other despite the distance.
Get to Know Me as a Mom:
I take a very hands-on approach with my kids. Every moment with them is a treasure. I'm a strict mom but with a lot of love for my kids. Strict in the way that if they want something, I do not give them right away. I teach them to learn how to patiently wait. I encourage my kids to explore and learn. I help them with their homework, play educational games, and answer their curious questions. We cherish our outdoor time whether it's a park visit, outdoor playground, or pool fun. These moments help us bond and create lasting memories. Being a mom is a constant learning experience. There are challenges but the smiles, hugs and I love you's make it all worth it. I'm excited to share my journey and learn from other moms, here too.
Me as a Wife:
I'm a loving and caring wife. Deeply committed to my husband even though we are miles apart. Our long-distance relationship has its challenges but it makes our bond even stronger. We stay connected everyday through video calls and messages. It's the little things like sending a thoughtful message that keep us close.
Being in a long-distance relationship needs a lot of understanding and patience. I support my husband everything he does. I cheer him on during hard times and celebrate his successes. We cheer each other no matter the distance. Distance can't diminish our love. We cherish our moments together by sending thoughtful gifts like flowers on special days.
My ESL Teaching Adventure:
Since I'm a full-time housewife, I stopped working 7 and a half years ago because I chose to be a hands-on mom. Last July, I was hired by my current company as an ESL teacher. I realized that my kids are grown up, So I decided to return to work part-time. Being as an ESL teacher is convenient and comfortable for me because I work from home. It's a great opportunity to have this kind of job. I can stay at home, work and still watch over my kids.
Leisure Activities:
Every time my husband has a vacation here in the Philippines, we cherish every single minute with him. We spend lots of time traveling, enjoying beautiful scenery and eating delicious food at the restaurants. The kids love it very much too.
The Story Behind My Presence:
This system is really new to me. To be honest, I had zero knowledge about Hive. One day, my co-ESL teacher shared about this platform and I got interested because it's connected to my current job as an ESL teacher. I can enhance my free writing and expand my knowledge about it. I'm so happy to be part of this platform, and I'm excited to share my daily life activities here by writing a blog.
