Good morning Hivers! Let's get a move on and go catch the sun rise on the bay near my house. Time waits for no one nor does the sun! So when the alarm goes off at 5:45am its time to go. This time of year the sun comes up much earlier at 6:09am. So let's hustle out of the house and get to the park!

Where's the sun?

There she is that sun. Bob Marley once said your best friend can be your worst enemy. That's how I feel about the sun here, especially now in the hot season. Sunrise and sunset? Best friend. Rest of the day especially between 11am and 4pm? Worst enemy. Will burn you mercilessly and give you a bad headache.

The location of the sun varies drastically here in the tropics compared to other places I've lived farther north in the world. This time is the most northern point of the sun and some places such as Bangkok feel like you are living in an inferno. Oddly enough the south of the country is a bit cooler in the hot season. This is a park about 2km from my home.

Jogging path or airlane landing strip? 🛬

They had a massive renovation of the park a couple of years ago which took a couple of years for some reason. Its ready to land planes now is how big the jogging path is now. My friend told me they've closed the park recently due to covid but I think only a section of it as many people rely on it for access to the water to go clamming and fishing for a source of income and food.
