Hi all...it's time to participate in the ASEAN Hive Community GIF Challenge round 3. The theme for this week is Show Me The Magic! I was cracking my head for ideas, but I couldn't think of any. I wanted to combine some of the images I captured and manipulate them digitally to create the magic effect, but I think it wasn't "original." I thought of performing a simple magic trick and capturing it on video. The thing was, I didn't know any trick, and even if I did, I am terrible at it.
So I approached my hubby and asked him if he could perform some of the magic he used to show the kids when they were very little. I wasn't sure if he would comply but thank God he said YES!
He performed the first trick using a pen. I remember when he showed my son this trick for the first time. My son was about 2 to 3 years old at that time. He was so impressed and perplexed at the same time. Where did the pen go? "Now you see, now you don't". It took him a while to figure it out.
The second trick is not magic but an optical illusion trick with a spoon. I am sure everyone does this at least once in their life. Watching the spoon "bend" was fun when he shook it between his fingers.
I used Adobe Express to create both of these gifs. It's very easy to use. Just upload your video, choose the part you want to include, and convert it to a gif.
So that's it for my entry this round. I hope more people will participate in this challenge, but I understand why some people hesitated. Either they don't have a proper device to create gifs, or it can be technically challenging to others.
