As a hardcore Chinese food lover, pork being one of the most important food ingredient in most Chinese dishes. However, in the multi racial and different religion countries, Muslims made up of more than 60% of the population, therefore having a special restaurant to accommodate such religion is highly encouraged.
I don't wanna go through the entire job interview ordeal anymore, but this is part of that effort in order to NOT salvage the situation. I invited one of my top client to have dinner together with my boss just to show him my relationship with the client is very strong. Since my client is Muslim, so we agreed to this restaurant in Bandar Puteri Puchong.
Bandar Puteri Puchong is situated at South West between the border of federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur and the state of Selangor. We ordered 5 dishes for 4 person sharing, consist some of the most significant local Chinese dish so my client can try it with ease. The above for example, was a dish we usually use pork belly to cooked with salted cure fish. But this one, cooked with chicken instead. Taste very close to the original recipe, the only thing I'd suggest for improvement being the sauce. It was supposed to reduced until it's thick so the fermented fish smell can stick on the meat.
Other than that, we also have a huge plate of ketchup prawn. Lightly spicy, and the prawn being fried before simmer into the ketchup, so the prawn will absorb the sweet and spicy sauce. We also have another huge plate of deep fried squid that coated with duck egg yolk. Super crunchy, salty. Darn it, if this is not a Halal restaurant, the next best thing to go together with this dish is beer!
I couldn't hold the crowd, after the fried vegetable being served, everyone can't wait to start eating already. Therefore I have totally missed the tilapia fish dish. Total damage for the set, RM162 including drinks and rice. Mind you this set menu was originally meant for 5 person, and the 4 of us had a blast! All that for less than 40 bucks to.
