Da Nang is a pretty electric city with offerings of just about anything you can imagine for food and drink. However, just like any tourist town in the world, if you are in a certain part of town the prices are going to be wildly inflated because the tourists don't know what anything costs and since for most of them it is cheaper than they would pay back home, they just pony up and pay it.
This is most noticeable along the beach area where everyone is normally staying if they visit here. There is a massive brewery on the beach called East West and the building is impressive so I can understand why people flock to this place.

Now if you want a full on luxury sort of experience and don't mind paying 3-6 times per pint for a glass of suds then go ahead and go here. I don't think that there are very many people that are going to think that at place like this wouldn't be overcharging you - it is directly on the beach after all.
However, Da Nang is home to a ton of Vietnamese craft breweries and the really cheap ones are along the river on the "other side" of the river. One that comes to mind is Brewhaha where the craft beer selection is extensive and 1/3 the price of East West and the other breweries that are in the tourist zone.

In this place, as well as dozens of other that are in the same part of town, you can get the same draughts, at least as far as the name is concerned, for a much lower price. Here is the location on Gmaps and you'll notice there are others all around it.
This should surprise no one but basically all of the breweries that are away from the beach are a much better value than on the beach. this map showcases a lot of them.

In all of the really small breweries this is where you are going to get a truly unique experience for very little money. They don't have flights or pints or the things you would normally expect to see at a craft beer place but a glass of experiment will cost you less than $1 and to me, that is a lot of fun. Most of the time someone there will speak some level of English and they are normally delighted to have a foreigner customer.
Perhaps this is obvious information to people out there that travel a bunch but basically a maps program search can be your best friend as far as finding the hidden and cheap gems are concerned. Bad breweries don't get to stay in business, regardless of how cheap they are, but the guys who are off the tourist trail realize that they cannot possibly charge those prices and would go out of business if they tried. We have a lot of fun jumping into a taxi and going to some random place we have never been to before. With us, we will all go out with spending about $10 in mind, and normally we come back home with change.

Since taxis cost almost nothing and most of these breweries have some sort of food which is normally universal bar snacks, there really isn't much reason to not at least give them a try. Save a bunch of money and explore a bit! It's fun.
