Firstly, I'm writing this not because I think all Mums deserve a break because all our lives, centuries over centuries we've been preaching that Mum is the home maker and occasionally deserve a break from the endless house chores. The purpose for my post is actually to share about an interesting tv series on Mediacorp which I found rather interesting.
It's called Give Mum A Break! Will Dad Step Up?
As the headlines explained, it shares about different live family experiences - similar to a reality show but more tone down to an Asian mindset. Each episode shares about one family and how the husband handles the task of the wife while she's away for a much needed staycation. I do think we belittle the MEN at times, they can strive above and beyond if they want to. Provided the wives are not a perfectionist and paranoid about cleanliness & structure.
Oh yes.. I'm indeed talking about myself !
Seeing this tv series, I cannot help but think of my own husband.. many whom you're probably familiar with, so let's leave the names outside. I should actually register him for one of the tv series, he'll be an instant celebrity and the winner for the season, if this was a competition!
He's ONE PERSON who has indeed stepped up to the challenge and above all odds, made it through not just for a 3-nights staycation but for almost 3 years. In some ways, he's probably better at multitasking just as I'm better at other things within the house. One thing I'm trying hard to do is Don't sweat over the small stuff.. Our levels of cleanliness, tidiness and etc are different. If mine is a 10, my hubby's is probably a 7 🤔 but on patience and creativity, he score way above me not to mention to having fun with the boys which is important when everyone is at home 24/7.
So, I think we should give all Dad's a break instead. Stop expecting them to be what we want them to be. What's the fun to having a clone like yourself. You'll be surprised just how well they can fair and probably end up without us Mums !

Life's NO Secret is all about sharing; and it can be anything at all. Be it related to health, wealth, lifestyle or education. Sometimes, secrets are not really secrets. It's just that people don't talk about it or it's just been put aside until it becomes a topic to B****** about it. It could be anything under the sun; good, silly, fun, stupid or bad to some extend.
Life's NO Secret is an inspiration of my own in which I hope to share with all of you. NO Secrets means NO Lies. Just plain simple facts.
