Hi, ASEAN Hive friends!
I came across some old photos of my backpacking days and realized how minimalist I was. I used to travel with a suitcase, but it changed when I learn how to travel with a backpack.
How to travel with a backpack?
I had a 32-liter backpack from Hawk Gear, which is a Philippine-made outdoor gear.
3 Packing cubes to organize my clothes. 1st packing cube is for my swimsuits, 2nd packing cube is for my everyday clothes, 3rd packing cube is for my towel, extra accessories, and toiletries that will fit in.
I had another small bag for my laptop. My Nikon D5100 camera is inside its camera bag, but I put it inside the 32-liter backpack.
I had a small bag for easy access to my passport, phone, and money.
One pair of shoes and one pair of slippers to travel.
Our overall getup
Me and my friend Ferna, we were on our way to Cebu, as I stayed at her place in Dumaguete for a few days. She welcomed me to their home.
Haha! We look like Ninja Turtles. It's nice to have a colorful rain cover for a backpack. I chose a black backpack because it was cheap when I bought it. There's a chance it got dirty. No worries, I remember I always bring a foldable umbrella with me in case we get caught in rain. I can protect my laptop bag and the main backpack will be fine.
Since we were just traveling in the Philippines, it was convenient to wear shorts, but we could cover up with a MALONG, wear a skirt, or easy-to-wear pants.
Don't forget to bring a jacket to cover up when it gets cold at night. Sometimes, it gets cold when there is AC in the bus or the ferry.
So, how do you pack your clothes when you travel?
