What is up (and down), hivers? How are you all doing? I hope everything is well (that ends well). For today's blog post, I am going to share with the rest of you my recent online shopping haul: all about stationery stuff! If you are from the Philippines, I am pretty sure you are very much familiar with Shoppee, and most likely you have tried using this shopping app as well. Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post haha It is known to have many cheap and affordable products, and you can find almost anything under the sun (literally).
I deliberately never installed any shopping app on my phone since the pandemic started last year. It is because I do not want to be tempted to buy things I do not need. We all know how we all got some kind of "crazy" during the lockdowns and quarantines last year, and the majority turned to online shopping.
This all changed because I recently got obsessed with journaling and stationery #thingz. I wanted to buy more stickers and designs for my 2022 journal and planner. My student suggested that I buy these things in Shoppee because aside from they are reasonably priced, there are so many selections to choose from. I immediately installed the shopping app and began adding stuff to my cart. Now I understand why it's addictive: the process of shopping is enjoyable in and of itself! Plus there are so many discounts and coupons up for grabs, no wonder a lot of people from around the world are hooked. #ThankYouTechnology indeed. Thank the Universe for online shopping haha.
My First-Ever (under my account/my own name) Online Shopping Parcel Has Arrived! Wow, it felt so good to say it out loud and type it as well. π Do not get me wrong: of course, I have had quite a few parcels I online shopped but I used my sisters' accounts (like their Shein and Shoppee accounts).
I am very much happy with the delivery because it took only about ten days for them to be shipped from China. It was quick. The things that I got were what I had expected, so I was extremely glad about it. I have read so many online stories about the "expectation versus reality" truths; they may seem funny but they are harsh, considering that what you have expected all along was not what was delivered to your doorstep.
Anyway... Now I have new stickers and stationery stuff I can utilize to design my 2022 journal and planner. YAY!! I am beyond excited to use all of these babies as I make my own designs. It is awesome how being into stationery items one can make things happen: like there was nothing on a single page and then after quite a while, there's a whole new design-- the concept of bringing life to one's imagination is so thrilling! Before I used to get so insecure because I thought that art is exclusive to a "selected group of people who have the talent" but as I explore more into calligraphy and journaling, I have discovered that everyone can actually become artists as art has no definite shape or size or form--art is not one-size-fits-all; it is shapeless and ever-flowing, without end to its limits.
One of my action plans for the year 2022 is to have more time in doing my calligraphy and journaling. I'd also increase my production of paper spreads, wherein I just basically make art out of a variety of stationery things. I want to improve at doing this because I love it. I want to invest more time into it as it gives me happiness. It has been quite a while since the pandemic that I am so "hyped up" into doing something that's worth my time, so I am definitely giving it a go. By the way, on the next blog, I will be sharing a major decision I just made that comes with lots of responsibilities, and I am excited and scared about this part of my life, I will be blogging about that soon. I can already sense 2022 is going to be a totally, totally (mindblowing totally) different year than 2020.
