Happy Monday Hivers!
Boredom strikes once again.
My mood was about to turned into melancholic this afternoon, maybe because I felt bored. Once I have slowly felt this kind of mood, I will immediately think of something to distract myself before I will be drifted by the negative emotion.
Do you know what I did?
I forced myself to get up. After a while, I took shower; fixed myself; grabbed my bag; and strolled near Silliman University.
That was not my first time in the place, however, that was the first time I noticed the beautiful graffiti at the back of Silliman University Campus. "What did I do when I went here few days back?" That was the thought I had in mind. I haven't noticed it. Maybe because my mind was too busy of other stuffs that time.
The first graffiti caught my attention was the Filipino song "Magtanim ay Di Biro" if translated into English "Planting is no joke". I thought the lyrics of that song was written below the song title, however, I was wrong since what they have written below is the explanation why such beautiful graffiti was created. You can zoom it out if you wanted to read it clearly.
While standing in front of this graffiti, I was truly amazed of the people who created this. Although they were using different kinds of the fruits of the woman's body parts but you can still recognize that it's a woman's face portrait. So adorable, right?
I walked few meters away and another lovely face of a woman I sighted.
Have you noticed that the artist used pechay as the woman's nose and forehead? You can zoom it out if you can't clearly see the photo.
Look at what the artist have used for the man's neck. He was using a watermelon fruit. Have you seen it?
And another lovely woman's portrait that the artist used the banana leaves as the woman's hair. So cute.
Do you know what's the lyrics of Magtanim ay Di Biro song? It tells us that planting is no joke because it requires you to bend over your body the whole day. You can't sit nor stand especially when there are many seedlings for transplanting.
Have you tried planting whole day? I did, though the work is enjoyable and satisfying but we could not deny the fact that at the end of the day our whole body really gets hurt.
As I went home, the creativity of the people behind it remains in my head. The feeling of melancholy have gone and it has been replaced with amazement.
Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog. Cheers!
