Hello everyone, this is @lorene08, and I have come again with another blog to share.
On May 14, 2025, my mother decided to bring me, Ashley, and my younger sister to the Night Market. It's a place, close to San Remigio's new public market, filled with food stalls because the town fiesta came.
I hesitated whether or not I should go because the day before my mom told us the plan, I was feeling unwell, nauseous, weak, and dizzy the whole time. Fortunately, I was feeling much better by the afternoon of May 14.
I texted Ashley, and she was in it. Our meet-up time with my mom and little sister was at 6 PM, but Ashley and I headed out to San Remigio one hour early because we wanted to check out Mr. DIY, which just recently opened last April 28.
Thought we might not be going because it was raining, but the rain stopped and it was all good.
We were only able to take a tricycle ride at 4:40 PM because of the rain. We arrived at Mr. DIY at approximately 5:02 PM because we had some errands first before going to the store. I was actually amazed because to be honest, it was my first time to go into Mr. DIY. I've been at Bogo a lot of times, but I never had a chance to go inside their branch.
We walked around the ground floor first, and then upstairs where there were lots of beautiful things. I was amazed! I was in heaven gazing at all the supplies, organizers, and bags (my eyes turned into hearts when I saw them😍).
I kept on checking my messenger whether my mom already arrived in Lapyahan, but she told me they'll be late as Jarrah was still sleeping. Ashley and I did not really plan to buy anything in the store, but we could not resist! We plan to play around in Lapyahan and so we bought two water guns HAHAHAHA. I treated her one water gun since she's the one who suggested it. I think it cost something like 47 pesos. I also bought Jarrah colored blocks because she loves playing with that type of toy.
I also thought of buying a friendship necklace or a bracelet, but I didn't want to since I can get something cheaper and prettier at the Night Market, considering that the fiesta is approaching and there could be many vendors. I also bought a kabo (a water dipper) since my lola told me to buy one HAHAHAHA.
After staying for about an hour in Mr. DIY, we waited in line at the cashier so I could pay, and then we could proceed to Lapyahan and have fun playing with our new water guns HAHAHAHA. I spent more than 200 pesos, which was fine for me.
We just walked to Lapyahan since it was near, and also for exercise as well as, there is no ride fee HAHAHAHA.
When we arrived at Lapyahan, there were plenty of people, probably because the fiesta was coming up and there were no classes. We looked for a spot where there were fewer people swimming. The sea was low tide, so the people had to swim quite far out. It was around sunset, so we arrived at the perfect time.
We found it hard to look for a spot where I could place my bag and items that I bought. We just settled on the beach since it was low tide, and we spread a cloth so our belongings won't get too wet.
Ashley and I loaded our water guns with water. We were both laughing the whole time doing it, so silly like kids HAHAHAHA. Then we began the battle. Between the two of us, I think Ashley got wetter, but I was the one who was almost out of energy because I was running around HAHAHAHA. When we were tired and it was already dark, we took a break and ate something.
Ashley bought six isaw(grilled chicken intestines) and treated me. My mom then texted that they had reached the Night Market. It was about 7 PM when she texted.
When we arrived at the Night Market, it was crowded with people eating, and outside the market too, there were a lot of people.
My mom had sushi, I was amazed because it was only 20 pesos and it tasted great!
We ordered barbecues, and guess what? It took nearly an hour to come, we were starving! But the taste was actually great. I just didn't like it so much since I began to feel nauseous once again. My grandmother sent me a message saying where I was and asking me if I wasn't returning home yet. I simply told her that we had just eaten and that we'd most likely be going home soon.
My mother gave me some cash to buy food. She requested kwek-kwek(fried quail eggs), but I could not find vendors who were selling street foods. She also told us we could get whatever food we want, so I came across a buy-one-take-one milk tea and buy it. I then bought both taro flavor. I'm not a hater, but it really did not taste like taro, the flavor I got from Worthy was so much better.
We just chatted for a while, and Jarrah was too occupied playing with the new friends she made.
Later on, because it was already evening and it's a bit scary to be riding a tricycle late at night, my mom said we have to head home. We stopped in front of the complex where there was a big LED TV, and my mom was snapping pictures with Jarrah (she was so adorable, posing like a beauty queen 🥹).
Then we bid goodbye to my mom and little sister. Ashley and I walked a bit while looking for a tricycle going to our barangay. Finally, we found one and rode it home. It was already 8:06 PM when we got on.
That's all, thank you for reading, everyone!!
