Good day, everyone. It’s my pleasure to talk and introduce myself. Well, my name is Ma. Rheza Broñola. It is such an honor to be part of this platform with my username, @lovedearly. I was born in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, Philippines, and grew up in Escalante City, Negros Occidental. I took my college at Northern Negros State of College, Science and Technology, and finished my Business Administration course in 2019, majoring in marketing management.
My passion and hobbies are reading the word of God and exploring God's creations; through that, I remind myself how big God is. I am joining Hive because I would love to share with you guys about my life as a pastor's wife 😇, and you'll find all things BEAUTY, LIFESTYLE, MODESTY outfits, and FAITH inspired by the WORD of GOD and pieces of my life along the way. One of my church members told me about Hive, I am thankful to my friend @crownrich for introducing me to this platform. and I am interested in it; that's why I joined here.
My strength is Jesus Christ. I am always ready to take up the challenges and strive for excellence. My thinking suggests that accepting both success and failure can only lead one to reach my goal. I do not like to say weaknesses, but I want to say that I will not leave any questions altogether. I believe in Jesus, myself, and my hard work, and I want fulfillment in everything.
My short-term goal is to achieve excellence in the skills of being an entrepreneur and businesswoman. My long-term goal is to be a professional entrepreneur and reach the highest level of success. My moral is, “I never intend to do any harm to others," but to show them the goodness of God, to give respect, and to have good harmony with everyone around me and share a smile and good vibes. I thank God for all the blessings that He showered upon us. I didn't realize at a young age I had my own business and to become more and more successful.
But wait, before I become a successful entrepreneur, I want to share with you guys what life I had before and before I got to my current life.
I came from a poor family but had many dreams in life and was filled with love for my parents; my parents got married at a young age. I'm the second child of our five siblings; my father's occupation is a jeepney driver in Bacolod City, and my mother is at home taking care of us, teaching us what is good and should be done in life. I was just a toddler, 9 years old. I was already at my aunt's house to help with their business and also to help my family in their daily life, and at my young age I never experienced being a child or that I enjoyed my childhood because it was in my mind then that I would work hard and be able to finish my studies so that I could lift my family out of poverty.
Furthermore, years passed, and I was in the 1st year of high school, and I was still in my auntie's house. My father would love me to come home because he liked that he would always see me every day, and because I was growing up, he liked that he could monitor my studies. While I was studying in high school, I also sold anything I could sell, such as food, bread, school supplies, and personal belongings such as lotion, papaya soap, perfume, clothes and so on. I'm not shy I used to sell when I was at my auntie's house because I'm the one who is trusted with their fish businesses such as dried fish and fresh seafood, and until now I've adopted being a Vendor 😘,
Well! I'm happy with what I'm doing and it's a big help while I'm still studying I believe I'm in the right process for my dream of becoming a Successful Entrepreneur, and with God's mercy and help I can achieve it. My family is Roman Catholic, and I'm the only one in my family who always goes to church every Sunday. I don't think about my dependence on the Lord because I was still young, and that's what I was used to.
One day I asked the Lord that I would have the experience of going to church with my whole family because, in my whole life, we never went to church together. After all, they were not used to going to church on Sundays. In the Catholic church, they have a church night every December; some old belief is that when you complete the church night service, or "simbang gabi" and you have a wish from the Lord, it will come true.
Thus, I tried every day at 3:00 am; I woke up to go to church until last December 31, when it was night. That was the last time I went to the Catholic church, but at that time I didn't go inside the church because it was full. And I was just there outside, and at that moment I was praying, Lord, this is what I'm asking for a favor from you: "I hope, Lord, that I can experience being with my family in church; even if it's just once, Lord, that's enough for me; that's all I want, just to feel that.
While talking to God, I remembered my biology teacher. I was invited to their church opening on January 1, 2012. That church is United Pentecostal, the first Pentecostal church in our barangay. The next day I didn't doubt going there because I was so excited, and I still remember that I was wearing skinny jeans with earrings, and when I got there to the church, I was so shocked because of all the people there, I was the only one wearing skinny jeans because all the women there were wearing long skirts.
While the pastor was preaching about "THE PLAN OF SALVATION," suddenly my tears fell, and I stopped because I was ashamed, but I really couldn't stop. The more I cried and cried, the more I experienced such joy, and I couldn't explain what I felt; all I know is that I didn't feel any pain anymore; it was all happiness, and it was the 1st time I experienced it.
When the church was over, there were many pastors there, and right there I had many questions for myself. I wanted to know, just like John 3:5, "Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God." There was a pastor who explained everything to me, and by the mercy of the Lord I understood. To make the story short, I was the first member to be baptized in the Name of Jesus in their church.
Thankfully, with the help of the Lord, several months passed, and my family joined me in the service of the Lord, and not only them but also my relatives, who also went to the Pentecostal church, and since then I saw how I was strengthened, and that's when everything changed. I have different views on life; I got to know my Lord deeper and who He really is in my life.
Moreover, when I graduated from high school, I said something to the Lord, "Lord, if I can study even just 1 semester in college and I commit to God, I will never cut my hair as stated in the Bible, all Pentecostal girls must have uncut hair. And with that, I saw God grant my prayer. And when I was in college for one year, I thanked the Lord because he not only answered my prayer but also gave me more than I asked for. I said that I only liked 1 semester, but I've been for one year and because of that, I've become closer to the Lord, so in my prayers, I asked the Lord for something, "Lord, I hope there's an offer here, for a full scholarship with an allowance because my father would find it difficult to finance my education.
But look what the Lord has done. At that time, while I was there in the president's office, as usual to take the promissory note for the examination, I saw the college president cry while hearing out my side. He exclaimed that he saw himself in me, working hard in life just to be able to finish school, so he said, "Yes, because you are a good kid, and I can see that you worked hard for your whole year in college, I'll have my signature affixed on your paper showing that you are not charged of school fees and free to take the exam.
There is something more because he is also the president of a large cooperative there, and they are hiring working scholars. He said, "You can apply there, and you just have to pass the entrance exam and interview. And I praise God afterwards 👏🙌 because the God I worship is a living God, and there is no one like Him. We were informed that only three people will get through the hiring process, and eight of us applied there. All those who applied were very smart, but I told myself even if I was not smart enough, I would make it by my faith, even though you are smart, but I have God, who is wiser, and everything comes from him.
I trust God that I'll be chosen, and to cut the story short, I thank the Lord Jesus because I made it. I'm so happy because out of eight applicants, I was one of those who got into their scholarship program, and that was a big help in my studies. Not only that, while I'm studying in my vacant time, I go to their office to work, and it's a big blessing because while I'm studying, I'm also learning some work at their office, and my studies are even easier because I'm a full scholar with an allowance until graduation. It was agreed that after graduation, they would automatically hire me as a regular employee.
However, after 6 months, I decided to go to Cebu. I didn't know why I liked to work here. Fortunately, I came to understand as years passed by, and that's when I met my husband, and he is a pastor. Well, this is also the one that I asked the Lord to marry a pastor. Now I am living happily with my husband and our beloved son. I thank God, for He orchestrated everything.
