That day we tried to wake up early, pack up early and leave immediately. But when we arrived on the road to the location we were surprised by the enthusiasm of the people who also wanted to see it. This was really beyond my expectations. I never thought that the interest would be this overwhelming. The road to the location was already full of people. There were also many visitors who came from out of town. We were even willing to push and shove to get to the location.
Unfortunately fate had other plans, the entrance to the balloon flight location was already filled with people who had arrived first. So we were forced to only be able to enjoy it from outside the field. At least we could still see it even though only a few balloons were flown. My disappointment was slightly reduced when I could see the beauty of the hot air balloons. Each balloon had a different pattern and uniqueness. I was very amazed when I saw it. This was really beautiful. I heard some people talking next to me that there were actually a lot of balloons that had been flown since the morning before the event started. Because it suddenly rained this morning, some balloons broke and were torn because they were exposed to rainwater. So when we arrived there were only a few balloons left that could be flown again. Oh, this is so sad.
Outside the field, there was something that annoyed me a little about this festival. You know? Because the visitors were overflowing and the situation got out of control, in the end the victims were... yep! The residents' rice fields. Imagine! How many irresponsible people stepped on and damaged the rice that was not ready to be harvested. I was very annoyed when I saw it. Plus, there was one balloon whose control rope broke and flew into a resident's rice field near the field. The committee ran after the balloon. How could they not be careful with such detrimental actions. Hopefully the committee will be responsible for compensating the farmers whose rice was damaged. I hope so.
I heard that this festival will be held again next November. It also happens to be my city's anniversary. If that's true, then I can anticipate how to avoid getting trapped like this time. That's if my son wants to watch it again. It seems like he's fed up. LOL.. that's all about my experience watching this hot air balloon festival. Thank you for reading until the end. See you in other content.
