Hello everyone! My name is Rimberly Edusma, but you can call me Rimzy. I may look young because of my height, but I'm already 33 years old. I lived in the City of Golden Friendship none other than Cagayan de Oro City. I am a mother of two. These angels serve as my inspiration in striving hard in life.
I am currently an ESL Teacher. It was my ambition when I was in my elementary and high school days, but life is full of surprises. I turned out to take up a degree in Information Technology since it's the only course that I am interested in among the offered courses in my scholarship program, but I wasn't able to finish that because my attention was diverted to earning up money as a part-time job in a well-known food chain. At that time, I thought that it was better to stop studying and start earning money by continuing my work a full time now. I was only 18 years old at that time so my thinking was changeable.
The year 2017, I heard from a colleague that the Department of Education offered a program for those who want to finish a degree called the EETEAP program. My close friend who was also my manager at that time encouraged and pushed me to enroll so I can finish a degree so I grab the opportunity. I studied while I was working. I didn't tell my family that I was sending myself to school, I keep it secret because I don't want them to get disappointed with me again. I told to myself that I would only tell them the day when I am confirmed to be one of those candidates for graduation. I had a hard time not telling them because there were circumstances in which I needed help but I couldn't ask it from them. So, I strive hard to do everything just to finish my studies. Fast forward, I was able to finish my studies and became one of the graduation candidates. Truly, when there's a will; there's a way. No matter the hardships are as long as you will not stop from trying ; surely you will be able to reach your goal in life.
I really felt the love of my family and I was so sure of my self that time, how much they were proud of me. I am really blessed beyond measure to have a family with love and serve God as the center of our relationship.
This is my first post but it will not be my last. I am just starting to express what I felt here. Thank you to ma’am @antonette for sharing this community with me. I am excited to explore the communities here. Here I can now express myself without judgement from other people.
To all of you who read my intro blog, thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. I hope you gain some life lessons from it. This is just a part of me that I want to share and there’s more to share. I can’t wait to share exciting things with you here. See you around!
