Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏
I was once invited to attend the Induction Ceremony of the Eagles Fraternal for their new members. At first, I didn’t know what to expect but looking back, I’m truly grateful that I was able to attend and witness such a meaningful event with this group of people. It was a new experience for me, and I’m thankful I said yes. ☺️❤️
For a bit of background, the Fraternal Order of Eagles (Philippine Eagles) is the first fraternal socio-civic organization in the Philippines known for their brotherhood and commitment to service. They aim to build a strong community of leaders and volunteers, united by the spirit of helping and patriotism. Their motto Service Through Strong Brotherhood reflects their purpose to serve the Philippines and the society in various ways like outreach, community development, and public service. The induction ceremony welcomes new members officially into this brotherhood. ❤️
When someone invited me to attend as his escort, I felt nervous but excited at the same time. He told me to wear a dress in a shade of brown. I didn’t have one, so I had to buy a simple yet elegant brown dress. ☺️❤️
On the day of the event, I tried my best to put on some makeup which I rarely do. Just a bit of cream and lipstick usually works for me, but that day, I pushed myself a little more. You can rate the look if you want but be kind! 😂😁
When we arrived at the venue, there were already a lot of people, especially the new members, all preparing for the program. We were warmly greeted and given necklace ribbon garlands, like VIPs entering a red carpet event. I felt like a very important person for a moment. ☺️😁 The place was beautifully set with chandeliers above, white chairs wrapped with elegance, and well-dressed attendees everywhere.
I helped the one I escorted by pinning his Eagle badge and assisting him in putting on his ring, a symbolic gesture before the official entrance. ☺️
Then, we prepared for the grand entrance. The new members, each with their escorts, lined up and entered together.
Once everyone was settled, the ceremony formally began. After the grand entrance of the new members with their escorts, we stood in solemn respect for the giving of honor to the Philippines flag and the Eagle’s flag. It was followed by the singing of the national anthem, an opening prayer, and warm welcome remarks.
It was followed by speeches and a pledge of commitment to the brotherhood. Each part of the ceremony had meaning especially the pledge and oath, which showed their willingness to serve and stay loyal to the group’s purpose.
There was also a ceremonial toast, a symbolic way to celebrate the start of their journey in the organization and to welcome them with unity and good intentions.
After the ceremony, there was a group picture of the newly inducted members, capturing the joy and pride of the evening.
After all the formalities, we had dinner together. Then came the raffle, and we had so much fun chatting at the table, meeting some members, and just enjoying the moment.
It was truly a unique and unforgettable experience. I never expected to be part of something like that, even just for a day. It reminded me how stepping out of our comfort zone sometimes leads us to great memories, new friends, and new learnings.
Have a Blessed Friday everyone! 😀😀😀💖💖💖
Thank You Lord for the blessings and love!
