Hello! Ah, finally the sun has been shining so bright and warm the entire day. Maybe I can my laundry tomorrow—that's if the laundry area is no longer flooded. Some areas in my province are still flooded, however, most people have already went back to their regular activities.
With the weather getting better, it also felt like I'm slowly regaining my motivation with the surroundings getting warmer and brighter. I got to do more other things including cleaning my room, trying the recipe I've been putting on hold for the longest time, and most of all—facing my worst enemy after flood. Cleaning the toilet. 🚽 Yikes!!
I prefer not to describe it but I was finally able to flush it just the other day when the flood water outside is already at a level where flushing the toilet is already safe to do.
Disgusting. Yes, though the more it will be if you don't clean it. If you want to use a clean toilet, you have to flush it and scrub the dirt. Well, we could compare that in our lives. If you don't want sh•tty people in your life, flush them out of your system and scrub off their traces of dirt. Doesn't it look pleasant and feel much lighter when the sh•t is gone? Lol!

Anyway, enough of the sh.. I'm here for the treat! 🍿✨️
Of course, a little sacrifice deserves something nice! I told myself, I'm not cooking popcorn until I've cleaned the toilet! My motivation for muching popcorn was strong enough that I was able to finish and begin my other chores. The power of food! Haha.
As you can see above, I was eating it while browsing posts on hive. However, I'm not really good at multitasking. Two blogs later, my bowl of popcorn was already gone! How can those vloggers eat and study at the same time? Or eat and watch their favorite movie/series? I could really just focus on one thing at a time. I wonder how people can do that? Moreso entertaining more people apart from being in a relationship? Ooppsss! I digress, some thoughts just keep popping here and there sometimes. Let's pop back to my popcorn!
Since we're already at it, I'll teach you how to successfully make one.
There are those in a bag which you cook over the microwave and there are those which you cook in a pot. We're doing the latter.
Heat a pot and pour some oil. When the oil is hot, put a few kernels for testing. Cover the pot so the kernels don't jump out of the pot when they begin to pop.
As you can see here, one had already popped. I waited for the other kernels to pop before transferring them to a bowl.
Now it's time to cook more!
I waited for all kernels to pop while occasionally shaking the pot with the lid on to avoid the popcorns under from burning.
When there are no longer popping sound, it means all kernels have already popped and it's time to add butter and salt. Shake the pot until the butter has completely melted and coated the popcorns. I prefer adding the butter last because it gets burnt when you add it too early. The popcorn will then look and taste burnt as well.
I transferred it to a bowl and it's time to munch this puffy snack while reading posts!
I made this early in the morning so I only cooked less than the regular serving I usually have. Anyway, it was great to finally eat and reward myself with a food that I've been craving after accomplishing some chores. I was even motivated to browse posts as well. Yay! Okay, until the next craving!
Thanks for reading! 💚
