On the occasion of this post, I made my trip to Takengon, Central Aceh District, Aceh Province, to be precise, usually called Tanoh Gayo.
Previously, I departed from the city of Banda Aceh to Pidie district to visit my friend who I had not seen for a long time. After negotiating, my friend finally joined me on a trip to North Aceh where my friend tried his luck in fishery quarantine.
There we stayed overnight, after breakfast we were escorted to the road towards Takengon. But unfortunately we had to pass through the Salak mountains because of a very steep incline which made our Honda ADV 160 motorbike less powerful. But luckily we kept on racing while looking at the left and right sides which were presented with views of coffee plantations which could be found almost along the way and finally we were able to go through the Salak mountain road which was very long and required a 2 hour drive.
The weather in Takengon is quite cold, so every building, house, shops, hotel, place of worship and other places do not use air conditioning or fans.
The weather in Takengon is quite cold between 19°c in the morning to 23°c during the afternoon. So those who want to travel to Takengon must wear a jacket specifically for touring and thicker clothing, for example jeans and shoes.
Here, we almost got stuck on this trip, guys, because there was a group of visitors heading to the horse racing field, guys, in Takengon. But we managed to get past his group and continued our journey to Takengon and taking pictures at Lake Lut Tawar.
Then we had lunch and midday prayers at the local mosque and made our next trip to Bur Telege with a super extreme incline.
The view of the Lut Tawar lake below in the flanks with the beautiful view of the residential town of Takengon is neatly arranged. Along the way, we saw many coffee plantations and other gardens plus a cold weather atmosphere between 19°c to 23°c as if we were continuing to race on our Honda ADV 160 motorbike to the top tourist spot of Pantan Terong where this spot is to capture the photo moment from above which will show the whole of Lake Lut Tawar and the City of Takengon Gayo, Central Aceh.
And finally the bucket list ended for our trip from Takengon and back to Banda Aceh via the Bireun Takengon road route. Luckily, in the middle of the trip, Bener Meriah was selling durians, so we didn't miss the moment of enjoying this durian, the king of fruit, and finally we raced our Honda ADV 160 motorbikes and headed back to Sigli and onwards to Banda Aceh.
