It's my bestie's birthday today, and since we live thousands of miles away from each other, I decided to make her a little something.
I usually draw stuff for her on her birthdays, even when she lived in the Philippines. It's either some anime character, a DIY birthday card, and so on.
Recently, I've been practicing drawing digitally on my phone, so I thought, why not make something for her? I went through my gallery and looked at some of the photos we took together during their visit to the Philippines earlier this year.
I chose one with the two of us together. It's a photo taken by her hubby when the three of us went to Bohol for a day trip. Here's what I made.

I made a GIF version of the whole drawing process, but I edited the final drawing on Canva and sent it to her. It's this one below...
I sent it to her at midnight PH time, because the time in the US is too complicated for me. hahaha
I'm glad that she liked it. ^^
I still have a significant room for improvement in terms of digital drawing. It's even more challenging because my phone's screen is so tiny, but it's enough for me to practice. Someday, I'll invest in a tablet so I can practice and create more stuff with ease.
Now, let me just share the screenshots I took while using the Medibang app on my phone. I cropped them using Google Photos on my PC, though.

I chose pink and green because they're the colors of our favorite members from NEWS, a J-pop idol group we used to fangirl together. Well, she's already wearing green in the original photo. hahah
Then, I added a Sakura background, which is a free feature from Medibang Paint after watching an ad. haha I thought it would look cool. However, the white part still looks so bare, so I decided to just show the background of the original photo.

Then, I just added a tiny signature. :) It was fun to do. I made this last night... I should have made it earlier for a much better result and more details, but I will do that again someday.
Of course, drawing and/or painting the traditional way is still the best for me. However, it doesn't hurt to try something new. Also, I need more time when it comes to painting traditionally. It's more fun, though. XD
If you want to see my future digital drawings, I mostly post them on my @harulovesanime account. I'm currently using it for sketch practices, especially digital ones. They're mostly shorter posts than my usual ones, which I share in the Draw a Day community.
As for my future traditional paintings, DIYs, and Art wall progress, I'd still be posting them here using my main account. I have an upcoming art project to do at home in the coming days, so I'm pretty excited about it. I hope you check it out when I post it someday.
I'll end it here for now. See you around! (^^,)/
