Hi ASEAN Buddies...
When planning to go to Pengalengan, my friends had already planned many things and I just followed because I already trusted their choice, and I didn't want to bother finding out many things. So that morning, when we arrived in Bandung City, we had breakfast at one of the cafes that went viral on social media. My two friends had already discussed it, and I just followed them. Of course, they had surfed social media and found many recommended places to eat.
Including one of these roadside restaurants. It was SINAR PAGI, where this cafe only opens in the morning, specifically for breakfast. They will close at 12 noon. We arrived there around 8 am, time for breakfast. My two friends queued, while I looked for a seat. When they gave me the menu, I saw a familiar menu. It was Nasi Telor with Fine Shrimp. I immediately ordered it because it reminded me of the breakfast menu when I was little.
Yup, I haven't eaten that simple menu for a long time. In the past, when I was little, my mother often cooked something simple for breakfast. Often fried eggs and this fine fried shrimp. Although it is simple, it is a very delicious menu. I used to never get tired of making smooth shrimp as a topping for my meal.
The smooth shrimp egg rice from SINAR PAGI shop is no less delicious.
It reminds me of my childhood. It has been a long time since I enjoyed this type of menu. It is very difficult to find smooth shrimp where I live now. After this, it seems that I have to be serious in looking for it and make this fried smooth shrimp a stock to accompany my meal.
As a side dish, we ordered vegetable nuggets that were shaped like small bowls, and cheese toast. I had finished my breakfast menu so I only tasted a little of these two side dishes. My friends liked it, but I didn't enjoy it. Maybe because I don't really like the type of menu. However, I highly recommend these two side dishes for those of you who might be able to stop by the SINAR PAGI shop one day.
