Greeting Hive worlds! I am Iris from East Java, Indonesia. Since works has been quiet these day, I decided to take a little break with my hubby. One of the similarities between us is that we are both toy lovers. Although his syndrome is more severe that me lol. We are not collectors or such, but we have some toys laying around at home as a 'legacy' for our son of course 😁.
So a few days ago we both have some spare time and we decided to visit our favorite hobby store at Tunjungan Plaza, Surabaya. You probably also have Oh Some! At your town because it was pretty large chain store in asia. It is very popular because it has a large collections of toys in a pretty affordable price. So let's pleasing our inner child together Hivers!
One thing that I love about this store is that they put a prettt displays that was very alluring. The product placement was also strategically placed and so tidy so the visitor can shop or just do window shopping leisurely. The colorful aisles really make me happy and sometimes also lead on impulse buying. But that's the perk of having an adult money, isn't it?
Although we both like toys, of course we have a different taste. My husband is more interested in figurine and characters toys, while I like everything that is cute. However I am not really a collector type, I enjoyed looking at them rather than keeping them. But my husband love to collect, and if it wasn't because our apartment is small, perhaps he would fill it with tiny bity toys, just like the first aisle that he went to once we arrived.
Meanwhile, I really had a weakness of something cute and tiny, even if it is random and this store really carter everybody favorite. There was this miniature of typing writer that so cute and also the main attraction of the store: the blind boxes. It was so addicting to buy, therefore we usually restrained ourselves, because once we bought it, most likely we would want to buy more. And the feeling when we got what we wanted is really satisfying as well.
However, we both have the same favorite toys that above all toys really peaked our interest. It's the 3D puzzle or brick puzzle. Can't you believe how cute they make? The small-small details that was included really fascinating and they were so pleasant to look at. But unfortunately this kind of toys are pretty expensive, so I often felt guilty if spending too much on them. Although it actually worth if you consider the craftsmanship of this toys.
Besides those toys, this shop also sell some other interesting miniature and so many kind of bricks toys. I hope my son is interested on this kind of toys as well, so in the future we cam satisfy our inner child dream to own this kind of toys. But, the trip was refreshing enough for both of us. I bought a new mixer truck for my son and my hubby bought few little figurines that he liked. Sometimes happiness really can be found in a small small things.
Thank you for reading my story and here are some photos of mu collection at home. See you around Hivers!
