Hello! Hi! Hive and ecency people. I hope you all are having a good day. Have you experience to have a broken family? Well, you're not alone. In this post allow me to share a short story about what happen to my family recently.
As our family gathers in the living room, the atmosphere is tense and depressing. Our mother appears upset, her eyes red and swollen, and she is holding a tissue as tears stream down her face nonstop. Our father is sitting a short distance away with his arms crossed and his eyes fixed on the ground. Sitting on the couch, my brother and I try to make sense of the news.
"I'm sorry, kids," mother adds tremblingly. "Your father and I have agreed to divorce."
The words cling to the air like a weight, the quiet broken only by our mother's gentle weeping. Everyone in the room is in agony and confused, and I can sense it.
My brother's voice is trembling and scared as he asks, "Why?
Before responding, our mother takes a deep breath. We have been experiencing issues for some time, but we are unable to resolve them.
Finally speaking, our father's voice is gruff. "It's not your fault, kids. We still love you, we just can't be together anymore."
The reality of the situation started to hit me with a knot in my stomach. I've known my family for my entire life, and I can't stop it from disintegrating.
In the midst of resentments and tears, the conversation continued. Despite trying to understand what was happening, everything seemed too complicated. I know only one thing for sure:
There will never be another family like my own.

The conversation ends, and everyone withdraws to their respective parts of the house. I can hear my parents arguing quietly in the room next to me. The family's pain and sadness are starkly brought to mind by their words.
I climbed into bed that night with my mind whirling with thoughts and emotions. I'm not sure how I'll handle the upcoming changes because the future seems incredibly hazy right now. The year 2023 will always be remembered as the one when everything went wrong, however, that much is certain.
