London Bright And Early
It was a nice day today in London town and I was actually in town for a change. We, a member of my family and I, went down town bright and early to take advantage of the relatively quiet streets and river bank at that time of the morning. We jumped on the tube just minutes after the rush hour window, when most office workers had gotten to work, and had a pleasant uncrowded trip down to Zone 1.
The tide was pretty low that one could actually see some parts of the river bed that wouldn't normally be apparent. For instance, there is a large sudden drop towards the middle of the river bed that I had never seen before.
It's always nice to see my old office I used to work at near St. Paul's Cathedral. I can't believe how long it's been since I left that job. I always stop to reflect every time I'm around there.
The cranes around London are still there, which means there are even more buildings going up as we speak. The city scape looks different already since the last time I was there only a few months ago. This place is changing so fast it's really amazing.
We stopped at Gabriel's Wharf but everything was closed, being so early, so we decided to go elsewhere to have lunch. Wagamama was the choice. I had a lovely Chicken Katsu Curry, which is what I always have there. It took me many trials to arrive at that meal haha. It didn't disappoint. I even had dessert there. Since I've reached my weight loss goal already, I'm not so strict about my diet. Now and again, I enjoy a few treats in the moment, as long as I don't overdo it.

By the time we left, the clouds had moved in and the sky wasn't as blue as it was in the fresh morning. It was warmer, but it wasn't as bright. We decided to head out of central London before the workers got off work and the mad rush began. That's the best way to visit the city I think, in and out, avoiding rush hour. It could mean the difference between a pleasant ride through this lovely city and a great walk along the thames, and a hellish ride packed like sardines on the tube with sweaty rude Londoners 😂
Peace & Love,
