I am a herb lover. The moment you get into our house you see herbs hanging from the ceiling, their smell is everywhere.
Especially this period all I do is thinking of herbs as we prepare with @fotostef a new herb garden, a project in progress that makes my heart beat faster!
We all have our favorite herbs. It can be a plant ally or a tea that makes us fell good, maybe as an essential oil in aromatherapy, there are so many ways we benefit from them. They help us connect with our body, mind and soul. They are our medicine and our cure.
I was in a playful mood during the shooting:)
This mixed tea is one of my favorite of all times! A mix of powerful medicinal plants.
Also I had some time off due to rainy weather and I made use of it by grabbing the camera after a long long time, which was fun!
So, here we are:
Rosemary - Rosmarinus officinalis
Rockrose - Cistus creticus
Ditanny - Origanum dictamnus
Rose hips - Rosa canina
Rosemary was believed to be an elixir of youth in ancient times and it is related to the lovely qualities of clear thinking and clear vision in an energetic level. Plus it is heating and very uplifting, a great mood booster.
Rockrose is one of the most important detox herbs to help us leave the negative remains of the past and help us move on to the next level clean of toxins and fresh!
Dittany is rejuvenating and it is a powerful wound healer. I love the idea that apart from the physical wounds it could heal the wounds of the past!
Rose hips are strengthening and rich in vitamin C, so a wonderful ally in stressful times and in winter time for those of us that live in this part of the world :)
Rockrose to the left, dittany at the bottom, rosemary to the right and rose hips at the top.
It is a mixed tea that I like to start my day with. Thinking of all its benefits above I think it could be called "christmassy" in a way. To sum up, it heals old wounds, it removes toxins, it clears our mind and boosts our mood while with vitamin C it strengthens even more our immune system! Is there a better way to leave stiff 2021 and jump into 2022? Apart from the fact that it is also tasty!
Maybe a cinnamon stick, too? Why not? After all it deserves to be festive :)
This is my entry to the "Very Happy Herbie Christmas: Make Your Own Herbal Christmas Drink & Win Hive!" challenge by The Herbal Hive.
My romantic idea of a herbal Christmas tree :)
@sjarvie5 and @fotostef do you have any interesting ideas?
