The transition phase from Web2 to Web3 can be a challenging one in the beginning, I've been there myself. Not understanding about platforms, tokens, wallets and keys will make your life harder, and there comes the beauty of Web3: you'll have someone in the community to help you.
In this post I'm going to write about how my process of understanding and migrating to Web3 happened.
In 2017 I started getting interested in financial markets, investments and that kind of stuff. In 2018 I ended up coming accross this "new revolutionary thing" called... Bitcoin.
After studying it with the content available at the time, I noticed that there was something special about the technology, but I was actually interested in making money from it, only speculating at that moment.
Aquiring a new vision on Blockchain/Cryptocurrencies
In 2021, after meeting my friend @luizhadad, I found out he worked in crypto related projects when he first introduced me to @play4change. I actually started playing Axie Inifinity with them and getting more familiar with NFTs and many more aspects of Web3.
On the same year, @luizhadad joined us at @nxfbodyboard and started to share with me (I was the most familiar with the technology on the group) his visions on how we could utilize Web3 tools and start to support our operation on this "self sponsoring" kind of thing. That looked exciting.
We created our first NFT collection and made and application for a grant on the Harmony Protocol Blockchain. After being approved for a 10k grant I could really feel it was real.
@NXFbodyboard is a big passion of mine and a project I'm part of for more than a decade, I've learned many different things with theses guys besides surfing, from driving boats and jet skis to video editing and filming, and more. Little did I know that my learning process was just about to explode.
After partnering up with Harmony, we started minting and selling our own NFTs on their platform (MAD NFTs), doing meetups, presentations and spreading the word of Web3 on our social platforms. Those initiatives brought new functions: presenting, developing press releases, managing the treasury, developing NFT collections, educating people on the subject and learning the onboard process.
One year later I'm working full time on Web3 projects and I'm loving how it's been going so far. I'm learning so much and now I also have another vision on Blockchain/Crypto besides the market and speculation-oriented one I used to have.

A fase de transição da Web2 pra Web3 pode ser difícil no começo, eu já estive lá. Não entender sobre as plataformas, tokens, carteiras e chaves com certeza dificultará sua vida, e aí vem a beleza da Web3: vai ter alguém na comunidade pra te ajudar.
Nesse post eu vou escrever sobre como aconteceu o meu processo de entender e migrar para a Web3.
Em 2017 eu comecei a me interessar pelo mercado financeiro, investimentos e esse tipo de coisa. Em 2018 eu me deparei acidentalmente com essa "novidade revolucionária" chamada... Bitcoin.
E hoje ele tá na parede do meu quarto 🤷♀
Depois de estudar sobre com o conteúdo disponível na época, percebi que se tratava de algo especial no aspecto tecnológico, mas na verdade eu tava interessado era em ganhar dinheiro com aquilo, especular mesmo.
Adquirindo uma nova visão sobre Blockchain/Criptomoedas
Em 2021, depois de conhecer meu brother @luizhadad, descobri que trabalhava com projetos relacionados a Cripto quando ele me apresentou à @play4change. Eu comecei a jogar Axie Infinity com eles e me tornar mais familiar com NFTs e vários outros aspectos da Web3.
No mesmo ano, @luizhadad se tornou integrante do @NXFbodyboard e começou a compartilhar comigo (que era o integrante mais familiar com essa tecnologia no grupo) suas visões de como a gente poderia utilizar ferramentas da Web3 e começar a nos "autopatrocinar" para custear a logística da nossa operação. Fiquei curioso com a ideia.
Nós criamos nossa primeira coleção de NFTs e aplicamos para um subsídio/incentivo oferecido pela Harmony Protocol, uma blockchain. Após sermos aprovados para um subsídio de 10 mil dólares eu pude perceber que, de fato, o negócio era real.
O @NXFbodyboard é uma das minhas grandes paixões e um projeto do qual faço parte por mais de uma década, já aprendi muita coisa com esses caras além de surfar: desde pilotar barcos e jet skis até filmar e editar vídeo, e mais. Mal sabia eu que meu processo de aprendizado estava prestes a explodir.
Após a parceria com a Harmony, começamos a fazer a vender nossos próprios NFTs na plataforma deles (MAD NFTs), organizar meetups, apresentações e espalhar a conversa sobre Web3 nas nossas redes sociais. Essas iniciativas trouxeram novas funções: apresentação, desenvolvimento de press releases, gerenciamento da tesouraria, desenvolvimento de coleções de NFT, educar as pessoas sobre o assunto e aprender o processo de onboarding.
Um ano depois, estou trabalhando full time em projetos de Web3 e cada vez mais amarradão em estar nessa área, trabalhando de forma flexível, remota e juntando minha paixão, o bodyboard, com meu trabalho. Está sendo um grande aprendizado e agora desenvolvi uma outra visão sobre Blockchain/Cripto, além da visão completamente orientada para o mercado/especulação que tinha no passado.
