When I'm bored, I usually take a walk along the estuary. There are things that make me feel more peaceful being by the estuary. Sometimes I pick up hermit crabs, chatting with them—though they certainly don't understand what I'm saying; or I observe mudskippers fighting over a female to mate with; or I observe fiddler crabs dancing, showing off their one large claw in the mud.
Today, I'm sharing one of those creatures that inhabits the estuary: the fiddler crab. I remember vividly; these photos were taken at low tide one afternoon last February.
