I captured the evarcha jumping spider sometime last May. I found this little guy crawling around in a marigold flower. It was a wonderful spot for camouflage, ambushing pollinators for lunch. The trick might have worked well for its prey, but it couldn't fool a "giant googly eye" (a macro lens) watching it. I briefly unraveled its camouflage trick. It might have been annoyed, but it didn't lose its hunting mood.
