Japan is a country famous for its cities full of lights. Colourful lights are everywhere you go. Specially Tokyo is impressive from this aspect even more in areas where there are plenty of game centres and shops.
But I realised that even if you take the colours out of these pictures they still look awesome. When shot at night, the lights become white and the dark black, so it's perfect for turning them into Black and White. Here I bring you a compilation of pictures of certain areas of Tokyo with a lot of street lights.
Probably the most iconic place of Tokyo is the Tokyo Tower. I wander around for a few days trying to get a different picture of it. One day I checked on maps for the best road to get a long exposure. My idea was to get the lights from the cars and the tower at the back. Finally I found this place to do such thing and I think it was the perfect one. I basically got what I was looking for.
Another thing Japan is known for is its food. Apart that it is incredibly tasty, what makes it unique is the way they sell it, or you eat it. There are an infinite number of markets where you can find every type of food you like. This is one of them. The way it looks, for a western person it just worth to take a picture.
Kabukicho is an area known for its entertainment and the red light district. Go there if you want to experience one of the main aspects of Japan. The location of many host and hostess clubs, love hotels, shops, restaurants, and nightclubs. You will never get bored there. And obviously it is also is good for photography.
This is Shibuya, awarded as the most crowded crossing in the world. For that reason there are many restaurants with terraces for tourist to be able to take pictures from the top. It is also a touristic thing to record a selfie while you are crossing it. Whichever way you prefer, you will be impressed by the amount of people that crosses it everyday. It is also a great place for shopping and photography as it is also full of street lights.
