Give me a basement full of chaos and leave me alone to sniff around in the dust.
I had been lucky enough to be taken to this place.
If I measured the amount of happiness at that moment a pointer would probably have broken through the ceiling. Since I never studied anything, I was thus deprived of all those silly student days that others experienced.
Maybe that's actually the only thing I "regretted", I don't lack education even without college, and I've never even fitted into that form of system.
The underground of the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade, which was once a stronghold of alternative music, now languishes in dust and darkness.
You can find facts and details about that period here (I will focus on my personal experience of this space)
The rooms are interconnected by wide, dizzying corridors that are now mostly filled with excess stuff from college. You can still find murals on the walls, but since there was no light all over and I was wandering with a flashlight in my hands, I was unable to photograph those details (although I received a promise that he would call me for a tour again after the light was repaired, cant wait for it)
At the very entrance to the corner, under the outlines of light, I come across a piano.
Covered with dust, cluttered with various crates and papers from the bar of the former club.
I couldn't resist smearing my fingers with dust from the keys and checking to see if it was still working.
It still works!
I could hear the soft, muffled sounds of an untuned piano.
Thank you @monochromes, this is my entry for the #monomad challenge, and thank you all for your time and interest in what I do 🙌
