How cold is it? – #monomad Challenge

Winter has its own personality.
Cold, quiet, sometimes brutal, and sometimes just plain funny.
This series is a mix of moments I captured in deep snow and freezing conditions, mostly around Quebec.
Some of these were shot from the car, some during walks, and some when I just couldn’t resist freezing my fingers to grab a quick shot.

The images feel surreal at times, but this is real winter.
The stillness, the blur, the silence, the isolation… and yes, even the giant frozen fries.

Shot with my old Nikon D40 and a 50mm f/1.8 lens.
