Hello, dear Black and White community!
Today I share a portrait that moves me deeply. This is Django, a rescued Rottweiler. I used to think they were dangerous dogs, but he became my best friend for eight years.
This is not just a photograph: it’s a memory frozen in time, a final look that still speaks to me. The subject of this image is no longer with us. He passed away, but his gaze, captured in that instant, remains alive in my heart.
Sometimes we don’t understand the power of a single frame until time turns it into a farewell. That’s what this second photo means to me. It’s not just my favorite in terms of technique it’s the most emotionally powerful. His eyes seem to look straight at you, asking to be remembered, offering one last silent moment of connection.
Photography has given me the gift of preserving these moments, even when life moves on. And this portrait, especially, reminds me why I do what I do.

Hoy comparto un retrato que me conmueve profundamente. Él es Django, un rottweiler rescatado. Siempre pensé que eran perros peligrosos, pero él se convirtió en mi mejor amigo durante ocho años.
No es solo una fotografía: es un recuerdo congelado en el tiempo, una última mirada que aún me habla. El protagonista de esta imagen ya no está con nosotros. Falleció, pero su mirada, capturada en ese instante, sigue viva en mi corazón.
A veces no entendemos el poder de un solo encuadre hasta que el tiempo lo convierte en una despedida. Eso significa esta segunda foto para mí. No solo es mi favorita a nivel técnico: es la más poderosa emocionalmente. Sus ojos parecen mirarte de frente, pidiendo ser recordado, regalando un último momento de conexión en silencio.
La fotografía me ha dado el regalo de conservar estos instantes, incluso cuando la vida sigue. Y este retrato, en especial, me recuerda por qué hago lo que hago.
