A single scream pierced the air as the rollercoaster plummeted downward.
I had always thought that rollercoaster screaming was done in pairs at the very least, but the solitary screamer did a good job of maintaining the carnival spirit while her friend maintained the same plaster-cast grin of fear throughout their journey.
Guy in the back remains a masked mystery. Or maybe he was the one screaming.
Throughout the tiny fairground, rides were spinning, some with one or two riders, some with none. The loud and crass words of mic'd-up carnies rang out across the expanse of the near-empty carnival.
Shit, I've just been spotted. Gotta go.
