One of the iconic sites in Kuala Lumpur is of course the Petronas Towers and at night they are illuminated so you can see them for miles I think they look even better in monochrome.
Than they do in colour.
The view from my hotel roof top pool wasn’t to bad either.
One of my favourite spots to chill during the heat of the day was the Bacha coffee lounge in the Sutra shopping mall. A rather crazy Moroccan style coffee lounge with a selection of over 200 coffees.
The coffee is great but the waiters can be a little pretentious when they pour it.
One thing you do notice as you walk around is the mundane things that get turned into street art such as the roadside junction boxes for the traffic lights.
Different districts seem to have different themes.
In China town it’s dragons of course.
One shop even kept live ones as pets.
One thing that always amazes me is how happy the people seem even those with very little and they are always willing to allow you to include them in your street photography. I passed this chap a few times during my walks and he always seemed so cheerful.
Well Hivers KL is certainly one of my favourite places for doing street photography. There is always something interesting to photograph. Even something as simple as a hamburger kiosk.
