Whenever I photograph women I find beautiful, I feel a premonition that it will be easy, but at the same time, the certainty that it will be complicated. Most people I consider photogenic tend to be demanding with the photos they want, and this doesn't have to do with whether the photo is good, but rather if it meets their own beauty standards.
Siempre que fotografío mujeres que me parecen hermosas siento el presentimiento que será sencillo, pero al mismo tiempo la certeza de que será complicado. La mayoría de las personas que yo considero fotogénicas suelen ser exigentes con las fotos que quieren y esto no tiene que ver con que la foto sea buena, sino con que cumplan con sus propios estándares de belleza.
I think one might believe that an attractive person is easy to photograph, but the truth is that this is not entirely true. On many occasions, I find that I like the photographs I take, but it's not how the model sees herself, and that's not wrong; it simply means I must look for something different to find what makes the photographed person feel comfortable.
Creo que uno podría pensar que una persona atractiva es fácil de fotografiar, pero la verdad es que esto no es del todo cierto. En muchas ocasiones me pasa que me gustan las fotografías que hago, pero no es la forma en la que el modelo se ve, y eso no está mal; simplemente hace que yo deba buscar algo diferente para encontrar con qué se siente cómoda la persona fotografiada.
With Giselle, exactly this happened, even though I liked all the photos I was taking and thought they had a good result, for her it wasn't exactly like that. But obviously, I pleased her, and we looked for those photographs that she would like, and these ended up being them. I hope you like them.
Con Giselle me pasó exactamente así a pesar de que todas las fotos que yo estaba haciendo me gustaban y me parecían que tenían un buen resultado, para ella no fue exactamente así. Pero obviamente la complací y buscamos esas fotografías que le gustaran y estas terminaron siendo esas. Espero les gusten.
