Initially, I used to do street photography without approaching people; I wasn't interested in knowing who they were or their stories, but rather in capturing everyday scenes that conveyed a specific message through photographic aesthetics.
I'm trying to move away from that, but sometimes I encounter people or situations that don't allow me to get close.

The circumstances vary, from how quickly everything happens to the fact that sometimes identities matter less than the message itself.
Not everything applies to every situation, because it depends on my mood when photographing, as well as what the person might convey to me.

What I do now, though, is that after taking the shot, I let them know I took their picture.
And so far, I haven't had any problems.
