Hello friends, how are you?
There are times when things don't turn out as you expect, and by "things" I mean the weather, the subject to photograph, or in other words, all the details needed to make the most of my day. I had planned to go to the coast again to photograph birds, but when I arrived there was only one species of seagull, and to make matters worse, the sky was cloudy. But anyway, I took a deep breath and said to myself: That's what there is, and get the best you can out of these seagulls. And so the passion began...
I love photographing birds in flight, but my equipment doesn't allow me to do so in certain lighting conditions. The lens doesn't focus as quickly because it's a few years old, but I tried to make the most of the technique, and these are the results.
These are "herring gulls," and because they are white, they gave me the contrast I needed. They are very dynamic birds that are always in constant motion. Looking closely, I realized that there was a chick and its parents were feeding it every so often. That's where I found my first photo.

Right around this time of year, shorebirds begin to arrive during their migratory period, at least the earliest ones. That's why I was so eager to go take pictures of them. In the end, I didn't find the species I was looking for, but at least these seagulls put on a great show for me, and most importantly, I had a great time.

Hola amigos, ¿qué tal?
Hay ocasiones donde las cosas no suceden como uno las espera, y me refiero con "cosa" al clima, el objetivo a fotografiar, o sea todos los detalles para aprovechar bien mi jornada, sucede que me planifiqué nuevamente para ir a la costa a fotografiar aves y cuando llego solo había una especie de gaviotas, y para colmo nublado el cielo. Pero bueno, respiré profundo y me dije: Eso es lo que hay, y saca de estas gaviotas lo mejor que puedas. Y comenzó la pasión...
Fotografiar aves en vuelo me encanta, pero mi equipo no me acompaña para ello en determinadas condiciones de luz. El lente no enfoca tan rápido porque es ya de algunos años, no obstante intenté aprovechar bien la técnica y estos son los resultados.
Estas son "gaviotas reales", y al ser de color blanco, me daban el contraste que necesitaba. Son aves muy dinámicas que siempre están en constante movimiento. Observando bien, me di cuenta de que había un pichón y sus padres lo alimentaban a cada rato. Allí encontré mi primera foto.
Cuando están descansando son bastante tranquilas, pero en el aire aviones de guerra.
A cada rato un pelícano pasaba cerca, como chequeando que hacía yo en aquel lugar, tampoco él se escapó de la foto.
Justo en esta fecha comienzan a llegar las aves playeras en el período migratorio, por lo menos las más adelantadas. De ahí mi énfasis por ir a hacerles fotos, al final no encontré las especies que buscaba, pero al menos estas gaviotas me dieron un gran espectáculo y lo más importante, lo pasé genial.
