Greetings #blackandwhite friends.
In my photos there is a lot of me. Not just what I see, but what I feel in that instant. If I'm happy, that sneaks into the image as a signature; if I'm sad, too. My moods, and even those thoughts that go through my head, end up shaping what I do.
The series I share with you today is part of that: mixed feelings that unintentionally shape not only the images, but also my path as a photographer. Each photo is a learning process, a way to understand how what I carry inside me is transformed into images.
The photos 📸 are my entry to the #monomad contest from @monochromes and @brumest.
In the end, in each photo there is a piece of me: my psychology, my way of seeing the world. They are experiences turned into pixels, trying to communicate something that, sometimes, says more about me than about what is in front of the camera.
Today they have been columns and shadows, people immersed in their daily rhythm, but above all -and this is what matters most to me- I tried to be honest with the reality that I perceive, in every instant. En mis fotos hay mucho de mí. No solo por lo que veo, sino por lo que siento en ese instante. Si estoy feliz, eso se cuela en la imagen como una firma; si estoy triste, también. Mis estados de ánimo, e incluso esos pensamientos que pasan por mi cabeza, terminan dando forma a lo que hago.
La serie que les comparto hoy es parte de eso: sentimientos encontrados que, sin querer, van moldeando no solo las imágenes, sino también mi camino como fotógrafo. Cada foto es un aprendizaje, una forma de entender cómo lo que llevo dentro se transforma en imágenes.
Al final, en cada foto hay un pedazo de mí: mi psicología, mi manera de ver el mundo. Son vivencias convertidas en píxeles, intentando comunicar algo que, a veces, dice más de mí que de lo que está frente a la cámara.
Hoy han sido columnas y sombras, gente inmersa en su ritmo diario, pero sobre todo —y esto es lo que más me importa— busqué ser honesto con esa realidad que percibo, en cada instante.
