Hello Hive Community.
I hope you all are fine. I am also fine here. This is my entry for the #monomad challenge August 3rd. After a long time, I am making a post today in the #monomad community. This community is my favorite community in which I often present photographs in black and white. In today's post, I have captured and presented eight photographs with you. I believe that photographs present themselves differently when we convert them from color to black and white. The photographs that I have presented to you in today's post were captured on camera during my visit to Polo Forest. I hope you will definitely like the photographs in my post today.
The name of the river that is seen in the photograph above is Harnav River. The bird sitting on the water on the banks of Harnav River looks beautiful in the black and white photo. Now I will give you some information about this place. Polo Forest is a beautiful forest area located near Vijaynagar city of Sabarkantha district in the state of Gujarat. This forest is also known as "Vijaynagar Forest". There are very few forests in the state of Gujarat, so in my opinion this forest is one of the most peaceful and green places in the state. This forest is surrounded by the Aravalli hills, which are the oldest mountain ranges in the world. And if we talk about the area of this forest, then it is spread over an area of about 440 square kilometers.
The building seen in the photograph above is an ancient temple. This temple is made of stone. This temple also shows the glory of ancient Indian architecture. As you can see in the photographs, it is surrounded by greenery and trees, due to which the whole place looks peaceful. In the photograph above, we can see detailed carvings on the strong stone pillars and walls. These carvings show the hard work and skill of the craftsmen who built this temple many centuries ago. Even though the temple is very old and some parts are broken, it still stands tall and proud. Each pillar of which tells the stories of the past.
The above photograph captures a tall banyan tree standing on the bank of the river. The branches of this tree look very beautiful in black and white. Looking at the above photograph, it can be said that the Polo forest is full of natural beauty. The Polo forest is a beautiful forest made up of dense green trees, rivers, small waterfalls and many types of birds and animals. During the monsoon and winter seasons, this area becomes more beautiful due to the greenery all around and fog in the air. The Harnav river also flows through the forest. Which increases the attraction of this forest.
Due to this forest area, animals and birds are seen. But at the same time, it is also a great place for small creatures to live. In one of the two photographs above, a spider is making its web. While in the other photograph, a snail is moving forward in its fun, which has been presented to you. If I talk about the animals living here, then there are many animals living in the Polo forest. These animals include leopards, cheetahs, bears and various types of deer. And if we talk about birds, then you can also see many birds like parrots, peacocks, eagles and owls here.
The temple seen in the photograph above is a ruin about 550 to 600 years old inside the forest. It is said that these ancient temples were built in the 15th century during the time of the Idar kings. The architecture of these temples is very detailed and attractive. Which shows how amazing the skills of the builders of that time were.
I believe that Polo Forest is a hidden gem of Gujarat. Polo Forest offers the perfect blend of nature and history. This place is a perfect place to relax and connect with nature. Apart from that, the beauty of an ancient temple hidden in the lush green forests of Polo is also worth seeing.
I was very happy to make today's post. I hope that my post will be accepted for the #monomad challenge August 3rd.
