This is my entry for the #monomad challenge: Naples, a city of sensations (ENG - ESP)

Hello everyone, I just recently met this community and I would love to share with you some of my photographs taken in the city of Naples in Italy and share a little of my experience about my passage through this city with a summary of black and white photographs.

The moment I arrived in the city of Naples in its central train station from the first moment I felt as if I was teleporting to a reality that lately I have been living in Europe, being here I realized how different is the order and things as I've been used to see in Spain.

In fact one of the first impressions I had leaving the train station, was that this scenario reminded me a lot to the cities of Latin America in which I have lived almost all my life, I tell them a little when leaving the station I observe that there are many informal trade, including vendors of different types of products such as fruit, clothing, personal items, let a market distributed throughout the city and anqué this I had already read previously to my legacy is alfo that impacts you visually. Describing this experience comes to my mind a phrase that describes this city of Naples "Vai a Napoli e poi mori" this is a phrase of a German writer that means "See Naples and then die", I think this phrase defines very well what this city transmits to you and it is that being here you can feel that Naples could not only love it half, in this case it makes you feel that you love it or not and that in reality there are only these two alternatives.

Hola a todos, hace muy poco conocí esta comunidad y me encantaría poder compartir con ustedes algunas de mis fotografías tomadas en la ciudad de Nápoles en Italia y compartir un poco mi experiencia sobre mi paso por esta ciudad con un resumen de fotografías en blanco y negro.

En el momento en que llegue a la ciudad de Nápoles en su estación central de trenes desde un primer momento me sentí como si estuviese Teletransportando a una realidad de la que últimamente he estado viviendo en Europa, estando acá pues me percaté un poco de lo diferente a lo que es el orden y las cosas tal cual como he estado acostumbrado a ver en España.

De hecho una de las primeras impresiones que tuve saliendo de la estación de tren, fue que este escenario me hizo recordar mucho a las ciudades de Latinoamérica en la que he vivido casi toda mi vida, les cuento un poco al salir de la estación observo que existe muchos comercio informal, entre ellos vendedores de diferentes tipos de productos como frutas, ropa, artículos personales, vamos que un mercadillo distribuido por toda la Ciudad y anqué esto ya lo había leído anteriormente a mi legada es alfo que te impacta de forma visual. Describiendo esta experiencia se me viene a la mente una frase que describe a esta ciudad de Nápoles “Vai a Napoli e poi mori” esto es una frase de un escritor alemán que significa “Ver Nápoles y luego morir”, pues creo que esta frase define muy bien lo que te transmite esta ciudad y es que estando acá puedes sentir que a Nápoles no solo la podrías querer a medias, en este caso te hace sentir que la quieres o no la quieres y que en realidad solo hay estas dos alternativas.

Going back to my experience, walking around the central square near the place where I was staying I noticed that in this city there are a lot of churches to see, photograph or visit, another significant point is that the streets are not very well maintained as one is used to see in any European city, however that is not a major impediment to enjoy the city because as you go walking, watching and touring the city it is more than clear that it is very much alive in every step you take.

In Naples as you walk around the historic center we will find many alleys in the city that will join you from one street to another and observe first line homes that are at the height of the pedestrian edge and you can see a little of how is the way of life of the inhabitants of this city, plus another important and significant point and the food of this city is completely spectacular is very true what they say that the Neapolitan pizza is the best in the world.

Regresando un poco mi experiencia, recorriendo un poco la plaza central cerca del lugar donde me estaba hospedando notaba que en esta ciudad hay un montón de iglesias para poder ver, fotografiar o visitar, otro punto bastante significativo es que las calles no están muy bien cuidadas como las que uno está acostumbrado a ver en cualquier Ciudad Europea, sin embargo eso no es mayor impedimento no para disfrutar la ciudad ya que a medida que vas caminando, observando y recorriendo la ciudad está más que claro que está muy viva en cada paso que das.

En Nápoles a medida que vas caminando por todo su casco histórico vamos encontrando muchos callejones en plena ciudad que te va uniendo de una calle a otra y observamos de primera línea las viviendas que están a la altura del borde peatonal y se puede ver un poco de cómo es la forma de vivir de los habitantes de esta ciudad, además otro punto importante y significativo la comida de esta ciudad es completamente espectacular es muy bien cierto lo que comentan de que la pizza napolitana es la mejor del mundo.

With this little story I wanted to make you feel the experiences I had visiting this city and through these photographic samples you can see a little of how is the experience or the day to day life of a city so moved by its inhabitants.

Con este pequeño relato quería hacerle sentir las vivencias que tuve visitando esta ciudad y a través de estas muestras fotográficas puedan observar un poco de cómo es la vivencia o el día a día de una ciudad tan movida por sus habitantes.
