These images were taken during my very first visit to Viñales Valley, back in 2019.
At that time, I was still walking with my Canon XTi and my two loyal lenses: the 18-55mm and the 75-300mm. Simple tools, but a fierce will to create something meaningful.
I remember how shocking it was to see so many tourists carrying high end gear: fullframe bodies, massive telephotos, modern mirrorless cameras. It was intimidating at first. But instead of giving up, I told myself:
“Let this be a challenge. Let’s see how far I can go with what I have.”
This is a small sample of that journey. A moment when I understood that limits are often mental, not material.
I wasn’t just taking pictures. I was building my identity as a photographer.
