Imagine holding your most favorite thing in the whole world. Maybe it's a pet, a toy, or even a person you love very much. Now imagine being asked to give it up without knowing why. That's the kind of moment Abraham faced.
His son Isaac wasn't just his child. He was the child God had promised after many years of waiting. Then one day, God told Abraham to take Isaac up a mountain and offer him as a sacrifice. That's right, God asked him to give up the one thing he loved more than anything else.
But Abraham didn't argue. He didn't say no. He didn't even ask why. He packed up the wood, took his son, and walked for three days toward the mountain. Each step must have felt heavy. Each hour must have been filled with questions. But still, Abraham kept going.
Because he trusted that God had a reason, He didn't understand it yet. That's what this part of the story is really about. Trust so strong it keeps walking forward, even when the path doesn't make sense.
Abraham believed that God could still make a way, even when everything seemed impossible. That kind of faith is something that grows slowly step by step, just like Abraham walking up that mountain.
