Sometimes I read the Bible and I'm getting absolutely no revelation from it whatsoever. That could be for a number of reasons, but sometimes you'll read the word of God and you just feel like you're not getting anything out of what you're reading. You're just reading it, just reading it. And I just came on here to love on somebody that's feeling like they're not doing enough or they're doing something wrong as they read the word.
The Holy Spirit is the one that gives us understanding as we read. And sometimes that understanding may not come until later that day. Maybe the verse that you're reading, you may not understand it completely until next week because God sometimes will allow life to happen so that you can fully experience for yourself what you're reading in the Bible.
So the other day I was reading the word. I was like, damn, I'm getting revelation after revelation after revelation. How come today I'm not getting nothing? And the crazy part is the next day, the very thing that he told me to read, somebody literally spoke on. My mom literally said, oh, I'm going to speak on that today. And as she was speaking about what I read the day before, I was getting revelation after revelation, like multiple revelations at one time.
But sometimes you got to take that food that God been giving you in the word and let it simmer for a little bit. Let it digest in your bloodstream, in your spirit, man. OK, let God do what he's going to do. But just trust that after you read it and after you invite him, say, Holy Spirit, can you give me understanding of what I'm reading? That he will do that. You have to believe and trust even if it doesn't come immediately.
