NFTs
If it wasn't clear so far #NFTs are going nowhere, they're here to stay for good.
I always wondered why would some jpg(ntf) pictures carry such a tremendous value whilst providing zero to no utility. I suppose they were just foreplay for what's to come - that is the game base #NFTs.
Regardless of how anyone feels about it, axies have an inbuilt game utility, which makes them a more lucrative option for both investors and users.
Not only do players get to earn for playing, but they're also enabled to farm and form different and unique genetics that could be quite valuable on the open market. Of course, I'm not saying you'll become a millionaire overnight, but I have a justified conviction that more utility brings more value - prove me wrong.
And while axle is definitely not the first game to invent such a possibility (remember crypto kitties), the game is definitely the most playable one - jeez, there's even an interaction between the characters haha.

It's actually sad, but the majority of the blockchain-based games were/still are funny when compared to the world's most popular games, however, axies and more recently @splinterlands (yep I saw that exponential growth), might be the catalysts for the new, more vibrant gaming era.
I suppose more and more developers will invest their time and resources into building a better game, inevitably increasing the overall user experience that is necessary for the overall health of the industry.
Additional Sinks for the $SLP

I gave some thoughts on how to improve /increase the $SLP utility except using them for breed purposes, and I'll lay out some of my favorites here.
Energy Boost - Enable players to burn $SLP to buy additional energy. Something like 30 $SLP should be ok. More skilled players will earn more, while less skilled players will earn less. There's a real competition right here. It should be optimized in regards to users levels, but it's easy to play around with such a concept and to adjust it over time.
Tournaments - allow anyone to host a tournament, some % gets permanently burned, some % is reserved for the team and the rest is distributed as a reward among participants.
In-Game skins - I'm 100% sure they're working on it but I couldn't have helped myself. Given that most revenue comes from the skins(on the traditional market), I suppose it's easy to copypasta such a strategy and implement it within the system. Imagine how valuable some skins could be. Blockchain ensures transparency and traceability, which means that anyone can have an insight into how rare the skin is, who was the previous owner and how much does it really cost.
Let's make a step further and imagine how much value would skin weigh if the champion had it in his finals, or some celebrity owned it prior...
You get where I'm going with it.
Once/if the tournament mode goes live, we should definitely organize a # Hive-based tournament with the goal of reaching as many people as possible.
Thoughts on the recent Tokenomics changes.
If you were disappointed with the latest decision made by their team, don't be. I was kinda frustrated as well, mainly because I got used to farming 200 $SLP per day, but given that math doesn't lie (at least I like to think so), last time I checked 200 $SLP priced at $0.2 carry the same value as 100 $SLP priced at $0.4 haha. No for real, this should at least slightly decrease the market pressure, thus help increase the final price.
I've seen some influencers complaining and accusing them of the obvious exploit of the Filipino community, whereby they used them for growth while ultimately aiming to make the system that makes the rich richer.
This may be a bit radical statement, and I don't personally think that's the case, but it would be wise if they rewarded early adopters with something cool - it doesn't necessarily have to weigh any monetary value, perhaps something like an honorable badge would be enough.
That's why I started to like #Hive. Regardless of how new I am, I have the right to direct inflation where I see fit. Can easily reward those who are neglected with something as little as my vote.
Guys, I have a feeling that the market as a whole will explode to a point where not even the oldest crypto OGs will believe their eyes what's happening.
In a few months, things will be radically different.
New, more vibrant communities will be formed, new games added to the overall crypto portfolio and the era of crypto begins.
Wo fucking HO!
