Ahh.. terminators I really hate them. Definitely, one of the most irritating/annoying match ups you can encounter in my mmr bracket. I have terrible win rate against these folks, just a little over 30% in a conservative estimate. There are many things that make them look so overwhelmingly annoying.
They have these debuffs like slow from lagging and those nasty stuns coming from snail shell and chomp. Terminators can play 4 cards even with 2 energy because lagging/mystic rush is a zero cost card. Even the slowest teminators (those with 38, 39 speeds) outpseed my reptile just after a turn on a 1 v 1 late game battle. They make me waste my energy because of the double stun (snail shell and chomp). Together with the armor, the damage I inflict against them even with 4 energy cards is just not enough. When dealing with terminators most of the time you'll have a debuff that make their tail card thorny caterpillar deal lots of damage. I'm not sure about this but can you enlighten why this move sometimes pierce through the armor (?). In my previous battles using my typical formation (plant front + aqua mid + reptile back) I only win against them if I have an overwhelming advantage in energy. I squeeze tiny dino in between the stuns to deal the maximum possible damage. If this goes on for 3 rounds I can win but cases like these are rare.

I think I'm now in day 3 of experimenting with formations. Now I come up with another one which I think has a promising chance. I only did around ~12 battles with this set up and the results were interesting. I found out that dealing with terminators and beast became somewhat easier. This is just tested for around 12-13 battles so this is not very accurate. What was surprising was that I won 2 times against terminators. One even have 2 in their line up (the video I posted here).
There are currently two positive things I see in this kind of set up. Having 2 frontlines can help spread the damage. This prevents my tanks from being bursted early on the game. It can let the enemy team waste some energy if they are placed in the middle. This also created a much favorable scenario for me when executing Axie kiss. The problem I have is with double aquas, when they do get lucky the whole thing collapses so fast. Sigh. Well, this is still very early but hopefully we'll see some results. I'm stuck with 1500-1600 mmr for almost 2 weeks now, I wish I can reach 1700 with the help of these crazy experiments.
Anyway, here is another battle I did today. It's the same formation but I was up against BBP.
That's all for now. See you soon :D
