There's a lot of overlanders that have special stickers that they give out to people as either little mementoes or reminders of contact details for their socials. We're @roving_tracks on Instagram, so we thought it'd be cool to get a commissioned artwork done. We really liked the work of @roadtripillustrations on Insta, and reached out to her to get on her six month long wait list.

Finally, our spot came up this week, and we love the job she did. She's based in the Czech republic, so it's been nice communicating with her about we wanted in real time. She had a few photos of us and the car that she used to create the cartoon, and I said I wanted a surf or ocean related background based on the Great Ocean Road where we're from, or maybe Morocco or the cliffs of Portugal, so I think she googled and came up with the 12 Apostles which is rather iconic where we are. I immediately loved the image, but didn't love US. I didn't quite like my top (which I wouldn't wear) and Jamie's hoodie was yellow - she changed it to blue, but we didn't like that either, and Jamie didn't like his face.

In the end, we just didn't like us in the image, and thought it looked a lot better with only the car! So she ended up doing two illustrations - easy enough to do when you're doing it in layers as a computer drawing. Still, it was generous of her. We loved the final image so much!
