The Hive Students Hub team recently attended the 2024 Ghana Youth Tech Summit in Accra, Ghana's capital. This annual summit is one of the country’s most anticipated events, bringing together youth and tech industry leaders to discuss opportunities and strategies for succeeding in the fast-paced world of technology.
The summit featured sessions led by some of the most prominent figures in the tech industry, who shared valuable insights and tips for young people looking to build careers in tech. From learning about the latest industry trends to discovering practical advice on career growth, attendees left with a wealth of knowledge and inspiration.
Representing Hive, team members @abdul01 and @shamsudeen13 took the stage to introduce Hive and share the organization’s mission with the audience. They explained how Hive is dedicated to empowering youth through access to technology, education, and community-driven projects. Their presentation sparked great discussions and allowed Hive to connect with young people and other organizations committed to driving positive change in Ghana.
Reflecting on the experience, one team member expressed gratitude for the opportunity to be part of this impactful event. “It was inspiring to see so many young people excited about tech and eager to make a difference. I’m glad to have been part of this initiative and to share Hive’s vision with others,” they said.
The event reinforced Hive’s commitment to youth empowerment in Ghana, building on recent initiatives like organizing a youth summit with the universities in the north part of Ghana which is the UNIVERSITY FOR DEVELOPMENT STUDIES AND CKT UNIVERSITY FOR APPLIED SCIENCE . Through partnerships like the Ghana Youth Tech Summit, Hive continues to make strides toward a brighter, tech-enabled future for the nation’s youth.
