Hi thank you for stopping by. How are you doing today, hope you're doing great caused here I am alright. I want to share with you on an incidence I will never forget back then in school. Smiles… At the end of this post you should be happy at the same time surprised about what really transpired.
John Victor Alaku is my name once again. How should I start this? Oh.. ok let me come from here! Awwwwnnnn I am overwhelmed already. Ok. Back then in my Senior secondary school, Demonstration secondary school Akwanga. One of the best school in town. Yea.. yes the best! I love that school an was glad to be refined there!
I was the utility perfect and as such I am in charge of every furniture, window, doors padlock keys. We have a workshop, and Studio so I was still in charge of keeping all these intact. Keeping all in a safe and acceptable standards. I am a little popular in the school during my time. I love the junior students and rarely beat or flog them. But from SS1 and above I always exercise my whipping ability on them lol.. that's if you fall a victim.
My Nick name is “Gbagboshi” meaning forget nonsense from the Yoruba dialect. I was name by my lovely classmates. I do mimick a dance that Gbagboshi made the lyrics from an advertising program, “Wale e show?? Smiles it's two guys that know how to dance very well one us fat and short the other slim and tall. So from there the start calling Gbagboshi, anytime we're free and I dance the dance the feel my vibes especially the ladies hahaha I guess you know that feelings…
So this faithful day, was directed by my principal to.keep the workshop tidy and clean. There's an inspection on going my the WAEC to inspect every school offering brickblock laying and technical drawing, to check for workshop and drawing Studio to assess and approved for requirements acceptance. Ummm it was then I call the junior students and the clean everywhere and the place was very best and okay.
They all left and I was left alone insiee the workshop. Ummm I now thought to myself, what will I do to krepy name, written in this workshop? Because always this is where I am? What will I do to be remembered here. Smiles do you know what I did?? Ummm I found a black charcoal and I drafted the lettering of “Live to Remember Gbagboshi” boldly in stylish form, on the yellow painted wall. And it became an attraction to beauty on the wall. Wao I love it! But was I safe?
In my school, if a student if being caught wetting on the wall or desk, he/she will be published and also will pay a fine of a bucket of paint. I didn't think about this when I made my writing.
After somewhile my principal, Mr. Nathaniel entered to check the work I did. Then I was with some SS 2 boys some brickblock laying students. The principal enter with our geography master, Mr. Sam andWorkshop Masrer Mr. Lamus. The principal appears to be happy with the work and how the place was cleaned up. Not until he stumbles at the inscription on the wall “Live to Remember Gbagboshi” he shouted, who wrote this here? Asking furiously and staring at me who did that ? The principal didn't know that was my nickname. And my juniors with me do know who, but won't want to say because they know what I can do. My heart was bumping haphazardly then I try to be smart to calming my self. Principal asked again ready to beat the hell out of the person that did this and the staff with him were talking also with surprise. Then I replied, Sir I will find Gbagboshi for you and I will make sure he's brought to order. Principal said make sure you find him and bring him to my office immediately. Principal left and the other staff insisted I found Gbagboshi for them. They also left.
I was left with my juniors and we started laughing for somewhile. I immediately causion them not to allow anyone know. I went to the class and I became the highlight of the day. Alaku you be Boss some of my classmates said, Victor you Na wise Lord. Gbagboshi this guy you really are a wisdom man. I told them immediately not to allow the principal hear of it.
Do you know that uptill now the principal is still waiting for this Gbagboshi? To be brought to him?? I finished my program from the school and left with my name still written till date. Smiles… A great one indeed. I never and will never forget this incident.
Thank you for reading my blog I want you to know you're special to me. Thank you everyone!
