We only get to live once in this world. Unlike video games where you have extra lives, real life doesn’t come with do-overs.
In video games, you can fix your mistakes and try again. But in real life, once time has passed, your actions are permanent. The best you can do is learn from your mistakes and make sure you don’t repeat them.
Some people might say you can still fix your mistakes, but the harsh reality is — you can’t truly undo them.
You can’t take back the hurtful words you’ve spoken; all you can do is apologize.
You can’t rewind time to avoid getting drunk and doing something terrible. The only thing you can do is regret what happened, resolve to change, and choose not to make the same mistake again.
You can’t completely erase the cracks in a relationship. The only thing you can do is prevent those cracks from deepening.
That’s the reality of life. And the most frightening part? Life is uncertain. You don’t know if you’ll still be here tomorrow.
Once you die, everything you could have done ends.
You can no longer apologize to those you’ve hurt.
You can’t decide to change your ways and live righteously.
If you don’t believe in God, then maybe you think this doesn’t matter.
But if you do believe that God is watching how you live your life, then dying without truly repenting and turning away from sin is a terrifying thought.
Because once you’re dead, you can’t change. And the truth is, after death, all that’s left is to face God’s judgment.
Hebrews 9:27: “Just as people are destined to die once, and after that to face judgment.”
No amount of prayers offered in every church in the world can save you if you didn’t truly repent of your sins before you died.
No human-made sacrament can rescue your soul.
That’s why it’s so important to make things right while you’re still alive. Choose to change, and ask forgiveness from Christ.
Only God can save your soul from the eternal fire of hell.
Acts 4:12:
“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”
Jesus is the only way.
