Welcome to my blog and to Lifescape Tribe Photography Contest Round 12 - Colors of Life, and the color being featured is Spots.
Spots are patterns featuring dots or small rounded marks, patches, often used in design, visual arts and printing.
In essence, spots can either be oval, round, or or any other shape, and are often repeated in a regular or irregular arrangement.
Spots can also be created using different colors, sizes and spacing, and are often used to add visual interest, texture, and whimsical look to various designs as seen in;
Fashion - textiles, clothing, accessories, Art - prints, paintings etc.
Designs - packaging, branding, graphics.
Spots can also be found in nature as seen animals - dogs, goats, birds, etc, plants and flowers too.
My Spotted Gown
This photo is one of my birthday shoot photos, and the gown, a thoughtful gift from a dear friend. What I like about this photo is how the building's design perfectly complemented my elegant look. Well, that's courtesy of my photographer cousin who handled the photoshoot. When I mentioned my birthday photoshoot, he asked about my outfit, wanting to know what I planned to wear. After I shared my outfit details with him, he thoughtfully chose this setting. The photoshoot session was fun, and the photos, amazing!
Another spots pattern - unique and stylish. I often get compliments each time I wear this outfit. I actually created the style and my designer brought it to life.
Also, spots add unique style and elegance to any clothing, and can blend well with other colors and patterns such as plains, plaids, or stripes, due to its versatile neutral nature.
So go ahead and rock your spotted wears with other pattern, and thank me later. 😅
