Starfruit flower

Have you seen this beautiful flower? This is a starfruit flower or better known as vegetable starfruit. This plant was first discovered in the Maluku Islands and now grows freely throughout Indonesia. In my area almost every garden has this tree because the fruit produced by this plant plays a very important role in the culinary world. The fruit is processed into sunti acid which is then used as a spice ingredient. Maybe you've never seen Sunti's tamarind, don't worry, I'll show you later if the starfruit that I have can be harvested or is ripe.

As far as I know, starfruit flowers can be beneficial for health, whether used directly or processed into herbal medicine. I myself have practiced it when I had canker sores. I picked the flower like the one I photographed and crushed it using my finger, then I immediately rubbed it on the sore area. Its properties are very powerful, only one topical is immediately cured.
