You came the day before yesterday, why didn't you come tomorrow?
Are you my friend don't love me tomorrow
A very common and well known song. But how many people know the name of the lyricist or composer of the song? He is no more. Sachin Dev Barman of Bengal. In short, everyone says SD Barman. Many Bengalis may not know that SD Burman is a child of Bangladesh. He was born in the famous Manikya dynasty of Tripura. His father's name was Navadvipchandra Dev Bahadur.
There are many stories about the dynasty of Tripura. There are also many anecdotes about the life style of kings and emperors. With these stories, a book was written in the fifteenth century by the order of King Dharmamanikya, based on the history of the dynasty. The book written in verse is named 'Rajmala'. Later the information of the book has to be updated. At that time Noakhali, Chittagong, Srihatta and Comilla were under the Tripura Empire. So the history of these regions has also come up in this book.
Rajmala is divided into six waves. These fragments have been modernized over the ages. An employee of the dynasty wrote another book on the history of Tripura in 1898. It is also called 'Rajmala'. The author of the book was Shri Kailas Chandra Singh. The book was written during the reign of Maharaja Birchandra Manikya Bahadur. Kailash Chandra's father and grandfather were the Serestadars and Moktars of the Manikya family. So in his 'Rajmala' a lot of unknown and valuable information about Tripura has come up.
Birchandra Manikya was another strong heir to the throne before he became king. He is Sachin Dev Burman's father Navadvipchandra Dev Bahadur; Birchandra's stepbrother. The greed for the throne makes Birchandra violent and ruthless. He tried to kill Navadwipchandra several times. At this stage Navadwipchandra moved to Comilla on the advice of Kailaschandra Singh, a senior member of the royal family and settled there permanently.
